Today, on February 15th , we will publish the second trip tip of Madanis Team.
This time, it is dedicated to all those people who like art and culture, those who cannot visit a city without going into all its museums and exhibitions. Therefore, here you have a list of the 10 most important museums that are a must in Barcelona:
1. Museo Picasso Barcelona: The Picasso Museum has a collection of 4,249 works of Pablo Picasso includind painting, drawing, sculpture and engraving. This collection consists mainly of works of his youth and is the biggest in the world.
2. Miro Museum: The Joan Miró Foundation is located in Barcelona and contains some of the most representative works of the Spanish painter. It has more than 10,000 pieces, including paintings, tapestries, sculptures , sketches and drawings .
3. MNAC: The National Museum of Catalan Art, located in Montjuic, is important because of its collection of Romanesque art, considered one of the biggest in the world. Apart from all the pieces, it is worthy to see the building and its views.
4. MACBA : The Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art , also known by its acronym MACBA stands out for the exhibition of works created during the second half of the twentieth century.
5. The Museum of World Cultures: as well the name suggests, we can find works of different cultures of Asia, Africa, Oceania and America. It approach the visitors to the artistic and cultural diversity of the world in which we live.
6. Palau Robert: is a building located at the beginning of Paseo de Gracia. It is a place where all kinds of exhibitions, events, publications and other activities take place.
7. CaixaForum: CaixaForum Barcelona is a cultural center where many exhibitions are offered. It is managed by the La Caixa Foundation, as part of the Social Work of the entity. There are activities for all ages and provides a wide range of cultural, artistic and educational opportunities.
8. Palacio de la Virreina: This building is considered one of the best in the Baroque style in Catalonia. It serves as a venue for many exhibitions and for the cultural area of the Mainhall of the city of Barcelona. It is also possible to see inside permanently the Giants and the Eagle of Barcelona and it also has the Virreina Centre de la Imatge.
9. CCCB: The CCCB is a space for creation, research, dissemination and discussion of contemporary culture. The aim is to interconnect in a single program the visual arts, literature, philosophy, film, music, performing arts and transmedia activity.
10. MUHBA: The Barcelona City History Museum helps to preserve, study, document, promote and explain the historical heritage of Barcelona and its history from its origins to today.
