One of the best things to do in Barcelona is to take time to visit viewpoints. Indeed, thanks to its natural relieve, Barcelona has one of the best Mediterranean panoramic views. Moreover, thanks to its climate, Barcelona is the best season to enjoy the different lookouts.
Montjuïc, translated as “Jew Mountain” during the medieval times, is a hill that used to be a strategic part of Barcelona to defend the city during the past centuries. You can now visit the Castle and all the cultural institutions (Modern Art Museum, theaters, botanical gardens…) but also all the installations of the 1992’s Summer Olympics. Besides, there is one original and elegant way to get to the top of the hill: Montjuïc Funicular. This is the ideal way to discover Barcelona from another perspective. From the cable railway, you can enjoy all the impressive views and admire the beauty of the town, while traveling in a comfortable way of a length of more than 750 m. The cable railway communicates with the mountain since the Poble Sec quarter and the Port of Barcelona. The round trip ticket is 12€ for adults (8.80€ for children). As always, you can book your tickets at the front desk.

However, if you do not want to visit all the thematic Park, you can just enjoy the views and the most emblematic part of the Park (“Camino de los Cielos”).
