This 2016-2017 season will take place the 51st edition of Joan Gamper’s trophy at the Nou Camp.
As every year, the club invites a team to participate in this annual tribute to FC Barcelona founder Hans Gamper. The guest of this edition, and not for the first time, is the Italian team Seria A: U.C. Sampdoria.
The trophy consists of a match and the winner will take the Joan Gamper trophy. As always, this friendly meeting takes place in the preseason of the Barcelona team and is usually the first official match of Barca. The club takes this opportunity to present to all players before the fans culé.
This event is not only a party, but includes many activities to make that day a family party and enjoy a good football environment. There will be music and concerts, fun activities and pint-faces for the little ones. Two hours before the match, the Camp Nou will open its doors. The match will be on August 10 at 8.30pm.
